Shawn “Clown” Crahan of Iowan nine-piece Slipknot was forced to bail on the band’s Canadian tour due to what vocalist Corey Taylor describes as “a very terrible, terrible predicament going on in [the Crahan] family.” Crahan has missed shows in the past due to his wife’s Crohn’s disease.

Revolver wishes Shawn all the best and hopes he’ll be back out on the road again soon.

According to PostStar.com, two men were charged with felony counterfeit charges on Monday, April 27, for selling bootleg Disturbed shirts outside of the Glen Falls, New York, stop of the Music As A Weapon IV Tour.

The bootleg shirts were being sold for $10 a pop as opposed to the official band shirts being sold inside for $30 each. Needless to say, Lars Ulrich was devastated by the hideous crime against music.

Industrial-death masters Fear Factory are back together. The current incarnation of the band features original vocalist Burton C. Bell, original guitarist Dino Cazares, bassist Byron Stroud (who played on the last two FF releases), and legendary drummer Gene Hoglan (Dark Angel, Strapping Young Lad, Dethklok). The band has already scheduled a number of a shows this summer and plan on recording an album.

Revolver speaks for the entire metal community when we say it’s about fucking time.
