Fieldy, Ray Luzier, and Brian “Head” Welch have teamed up with Sevendust’s Clint Lowery and Slipknot’s Jim Root to write an instrumental tune to raise funds for Deftones bassist Chi Cheng, who has been in a coma due to a severe car accident earlier this year. According to The Daily Comet, a 15-year-old from the Lafourche Parish in Louisiana shot himself in the head yesterday, Monday, May 18, after attempting to shoot a teacher who refused to praise Marilyn Manson. The gunman, Justin Doucet, is in critical condition at Terrebonne General Medical Center. Authorities claim they’ve found a suicide note detailing Doucet’s plan to kill himself and others.

Doucet’s classmates say they are surprised by his actions, though they noted that his love of Manson and his knowledge of Adolf Hitler facts always seemed odd. The gun, a .25-caliber semiautomatic, belonged to the student’s father.
